At BNI Jack O’ Newbury we have a cause that is very dear to the group as a whole; West Berkshire Mencap.
West Berks Mencap provides high quality services for people with learning disabilities, their families, carers and professionals. We have been awarded the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service for outstanding work in our local community. Our vital services are extremely varied and are cradle to grave.
Rosie and Andy Stanton are undertaking the 3 Peaks Challenge on 17th July 2015 in aid of this worthy charity.
The National 3 Peaks Challenge involves walking the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales within 24 hours and, they say, is not one for the faint hearted.
Rosie is a year 11 student in Evers House at St Bart’s school in Newbury. West Berkshire Mencap is the chosen charity of Evers House and Rosie is keen to contribute as much money as possible to this fantastic local charity. Her Dad, Andy, just wants to be able to survive the experience of walking Ben Nevis (Scotland-1,344m the tallest of the three), Scafell Pike (Lake District – 978m) and Snowdon (Wales, 1085m) and celebrate with a pint afterwards!
Please help them raise as much money as possible for a truly giving organisation that improves and enriches the lives of those less fortunate than ourselves. Your support will greatly encourage Rosie and Andy to achieve their ambition.
